HERE ARE JUST A FEW OF THOSE WORDS

 

The word of honor: SNAFU

 

The word originated with  GIs in World War II. Actually it is an  abbreviation of the words ... SITUATION NORMAL, ALL FUCKED UP.

It was in constant use throughout all branches of the military to describe situations that were a mess. It became a much-used civilian word.

 

 

 

(S) WORDS

 

 

SNAFU

Example: They delivered a truck without tires. Another snafu.

 

SNOT

Example: Is that your hat? Snot.

 

SLONG

Example: I’m leaving. Slong.

 

SMATTER

Example: You look sad.  Smatter?

 

SMORE

Example:Great pie! I’d like smore.

 

SHUDUP

Example: You don’t stop talking. Shudup!

 

SNUFF

Example: Would you like more? No thanks snuff.

 

STIFFED

Example: He didn’t pay!  You got stiffed.

 

SCRAM

Example: I don’t want you around! Scram!

 

SPIFFY

Example: I’m glad you like my new hat?  Looks spiffy.

 

SCOLD

Example: Turn up the heat. Scold!

 

SCOOT

Example: Get out of here at once! Scoot!

 

SPOSE

Example: Will you be here on time?  Spose so.

 

 

ALL THE OTHERS

 

JEET

Example: You look hungry.  Jeet?

 

WUTCHA

Example: Wutcha you going do with that?

 

GIMME

Example: Gimme  another chance.


YALL

Example: (Greeting just one person in the south) How yall?

 

JKNOW

Example: How jknow I won the lottery?

 

GIDDYAP

Example: (Only if you own a horse) Giddyap! Go!

 

WHOA

Example: (If you still have the horse)  Whoa!  Stop!

 

DUNNOH

Example: What’s the answer? Dunnoh.
