A FIFTH MEMORIAL CANDLE

A FIFTH MEMORIAL CANDLE

for

MY BROTHER TED

(That was a hard thing for me to do.)

AND NOW...

 A Fifth Memorial Candle

TED

THE MIDDLE BROTHER

For 84 years he was my younger brother. Most every Sunday we would talk over the telephone or (when possible) face to face. Our conversations were long lasting and covered everything from family to world politics. And now, after 84 years Ted and I no longer have our Sunday (and other occasions) talks and visits. He is no longer the living, middle brother. Now—the most difficult part for me is replacing our Sunday phone calls and visits with a fifth memorial candle.

TED WILL ALWAYS BE IN THE MIDDLE

(With Ted In The Middle Forever)

THE MIDDLE BROTHER

(THE THREE BROTHERS)

This is Ted’s forever answer to his memorial candle.

Speaking for myself, to Ted’s memory as the older brother I said, “You will always be in the middle my dear brother. I will still light your memorial candle as long as I am around.”

By the way, I told Ted (shortly before he died) that I added an additional name to the sculpture and it was received with a smile.
